dadlete
"Dadlete," a term I resonate with deeply, combines "dad" and "athlete," describing fathers like myself who juggle the joys of parenthood with a passion for sports and fitness. For me, being a Dadlete means finding a balance between family responsibilities and staying active in sports. It's about challenging the traditional notion of dads as only being solely focused on work and social life, to embracing physical fitness as a core part of my identity.

I love participating in various sports and fitness activities. Whether it's running marathons, competing in hyrox, or playing sports with my kids, staying active isn't just about staying healthy—it's about setting a good example. I want my children to see that being active is fun and important for our well-being.
I've found great support and friendship among other Dadletes online and in local groups. We share our experiences, talk about the challenges we face, and cheer each other on. It's amazing to connect with others who understand how being a dedicated dad and staying active can go hand in hand.

In essence, being a Dadlete is more than just playing sports. It's about being a role model and showing my kids the importance of being active and healthy. It's a journey that brings us closer together and makes our lives richer.
Running philosophy
Running is more than just a sport—it's a journey of self-discovery, growth, and resilience. From my early days in South Africa, where I battled injuries but never gave up, to my ultramarathon adventures across Europe and beyond, I've learned that every step taken is a step toward becoming stronger, both physically and mentally.

Running has taught me that there's no single right way to move, only more efficient and less efficient ways. By focusing on efficient techniques, we can enhance performance and reduce injuries, making running a sustainable and enjoyable part of life. This philosophy guides my coaching: understanding each runner's unique movement patterns and helping them find their best.

Through personalized coaching and sharing my extensive experience, you will unlock your full potential as a runner. Whether you’re aiming to complete your first 5k or tackle a marathon in sub 4 hours it’s easy when you have the support and guidance you need.

resilience
Embarking on crazy adventures through ultramarathon running has shaped my philosophy on resilience: it's not just about enduring the distance, but the strength and growth gained along the way. I've run 100-mile races across Europe and in various countries around the world, continually testing and pushing my resilience to the limit. Throughout my racing career, I've conquered numerous ultramarathons, gaining a deep understanding of what it takes to persevere in these grueling events. I've also worked on my half-marathon and marathon race times, showcasing my versatility and determination as a runner.
Meeting so many incredible people along the way and earning sponsorships from companies like Nike, Lululemon, Vitacoco, and others has been a true honor. These experiences have provided me with invaluable knowledge and a passion for helping others tap into their resilience and reach their potential. As your coach, I want to share this wealth of experience with you, guiding you to achieve your best and relish the journey of running, just as I have. Let’s embark on this adventure together and unlock your full potential as a resilient runner.
business
owner
I’m not a 'follow the latest trends' kind of coach so if your looking for quick fixes from £400 shoes, goggleblaster flaved protein shakes or any of that stuff we may not be a good fit. I am a person who goes out and takes on some pretty amazing adventures and then explains to other people how they can go and do the same thing, and help them to do it. I am also not a dad of 2 active boys, a husband and a business owner so I know the limitations to available training time.
At the end of the day it is up to you to do the work. But I can show you exactly how to do it, I can give you the tools to succeed, support you and advise you, and together we can get results that you might not think possible in quite a short period of time.
Every single person is different and that's why I do what I do... Modern training plans and advice for runners in our democratic are usually utter BS because they don’t take into account who YOU are, where you’re at mentally, your experience, your fears, the time you have and the reasons you want to run these distances.
I do.
Everything I do is aimed at making it as easy for you as possible. If you want to do it, I can probably help you. Take my client Lee for example, he ran a sub 4-hour marathon and he has 5 kids, a business and not much free time.
And that is where Coach G Training comes in. A place for you to get those results you really know you're capable of without sacrificing your whole life.
